In this marvellous book the reader will find Albert Hofmann´s last thoughts around God, society, LSD, and his wonderful encounters with Aldous Huxley and Ernst Jünger.

There is also included the last lecture around the Eleusinian mysteries written by Albert Hofmann. 

Regarding Albert Hofmann books released in the market since his passing away there is a lot of material consisting in bad quality publishings focused to sell and make profits.

This book its an excepction. Was authorized by Albert Hofmann himself and could be considered oficially his last book. In one way or another also its a tribute to this brilliant mind.

Albert Hofmann is well known because of LSD but among many of his discoveries are lots of medicines that are used in modern medicine to this days. His contributions to the goodwill of humanity are invaluable and his writings and lectures will remain as some of the most trascendental from one of the most brilliant minds of the XX century.

The spiritual beliefs of Albert are beautifuly expressed on his thoughts. On the actual spiritual crisis that the actual world is living entheogens can be a new beggining and LSD can be the new sacrament for enlightment. It is necessary to return to the primordial connection between humanity and our Mother Earth. We must change our ways in order to continue living on planet Earth.

The book its edited in Two parts. While the first part contains a selection of the last Albert Hofmann lectures the second part its a tribute to Albert Hofmann´s legacy by some of the most famous authors of the psychedelic literature and research including the editor of this wonderful book Amanda Fielding among such others as Ralph Metzner and Stanislav Grof.

The second part consists basically in remembrances of encounters with Albert and some interesting articles around the actual development of psychedelic research and the history behind Alchemy and its connections with Shamanism and Modern Chemistry.

Albert Hofmann was a true Alchemist. And a Christian.The Appendix of this book consists in a few Albert Hofmann writings including the original report of the LSD discovery.

I recommend this book to anyone interested in Entheogens and Chemistry . The ideas exposed are very interesing. Anyone can benefit from the essays and articles published in this magnificent text. Not only the Psychedelic enthusiasts.
